1. Sloping Ceilings - Modern Barn Interior
The Modern Barn project is characterized by elements that use the roof surface of the building to the maximum. That is? Usually, we do not close the roofs with ceilings, we only insulate the roof and add the appropriate height to the interior. The modern barn projects that were made by Domki Marysia had, for example, a height of 7.5 m in the small building Dacza Antoniów with an area of 35 m2. Thanks to this, the house gained more "air" and its small area visually gives the impression of being larger.
The Letnisko Bojany project, in turn, includes the construction of, among others, a building based on Dom Marysia 03 , the height of which is 5.70 m, which we also use in full up to the highest point of the ridge to achieve the effect of a spacious interior.
2. Rustic Beams
If you want to emphasize the rural character of the house but at the same time use wood, which is a warm element of the decor, it is worth trying to expose the structural beams, especially since they are usually (should be) made of special top quality wood with reinforced strength parameters. The structural beams in the modern barn project can be oiled to a color appropriate for the interior.
3. Glazing modern barn
In order to add a pinch of modernity to the projects of modern barn, it is absolutely necessary to use all the possibilities offered by window manufacturers. We can freely use modern trends and apply: panoramic glazing in the gables of buildings, aluminum windows that constitute an integrated wall; divisions of windows with mullions, various, e.g. semicircular shapes of window frames. The common feature of glazing is their size - the windows are impressive, most often covering the full height of individual floors. Remember about the permeability coefficients - check if the coefficient is not higher than 0.9.

This technique connects the interior of the building modern barn with the outside world. 4. Floors made of stone and natural materials
The modern barn house project focuses on the solidity of the structure and the functionality of the interior. As in traditional rural development, everything here should have a practical use: floors made of slate, cobblestones, red brick or unglazed stoneware or solid boards that will not be afraid of entering the house with sand on your shoes.
