The Investor's dream was to have a place, a house in the style of a modern barn near Warsaw where she could escape the hustle and bustle of the city. She already had land by the Liwiec oxbow lake with a view of the forest and the river. She decided to build a year-round house, but due to her practice in Warsaw - the house was to be used only on weekends. During this year's winter, however, it proved itself during remote learning and work. The Investor, Monika Kużelewska-Turczynowicz, is a certified Mindfulness trainer and conducts online classes in mindfulness training for hundreds of people in Poland.

"I wanted to build a house where I could spend time with my family on weekends. We have beautiful areas nearby for walks along the river, old spruce forests. We are visited by deer and beavers, we watch how nature changes, we spend time with friends. I can no longer imagine what my time was like before I had this house."
“I build houses that I would like to live in myself,” says Dorota Burzec, owner of Domki Marysia. “I knew from the beginning that I wanted to build wooden houses that would be solid, warm and ecological. At first, I thought about a small factory for myself and friends near Warsaw, but we quickly gained momentum and are building modular year-round houses in Poland. We also have applications from Germany and Austria, so we will probably soon present our offer abroad. I am pleased that the Group of Clients is systematically growing, because our family of friends is growing. We have cordial contact with most of the people for whom we have built houses, even after the construction is completed.”
In 2021, the company, in addition to building houses up to 35 sq m "on request", also decided to build buildings with larger areas. "Most Clients are people who run their own businesses every day, work and do not have time to deal with construction. I know the expectations of such Investors, I know how difficult it is to work at full speed and deal with a process that requires constant attention," says Dorota.
Our clients expected an offer for houses with an area of at least 70 sq m, which can be built in 2022 under a simplified procedure, at the same time from the very beginning we had an "all-inclusive" package to offer, i.e. an offer to carry out construction from the moment of purchasing the plot, obtaining the appropriate permits and approvals, through its development, building the house, and finishing it.
"I am often approached by Investors who would like to manage a project dedicated to a larger number of rental properties: we implement them on a turnkey basis. We are currently preparing Letniska by the sea or in Mikołajki, comprising several dozen buildings with common areas: saunas, coworking shelters or space for rope parks for children."
"The fact that someone calls me socially after the completion of the project shows the mutual trust and joy of our relationship," says Dorota Burzec. "Of course, there are always some problems during construction, but we try to solve them to the maximum benefit of our clients."
The house of Monika Kużelewska-Turczynowicz was built using traditional timber frame technology, has a beautiful, hand-brushed facade made of pine boards, a spacious, huge terrace; instead of a TV - a wall of glass with a view of the oxbow lake.
The wooden interior, decorated in warm colours, contrasting with the bold, black elevation, was designed by architect Agata Kotowska. The house is ergonomic, despite its small area, it has 4 beds, a comfortable bathroom with a large shower. In the kitchen, we managed to place a washing machine, dishwasher and a hob. A small but beautiful and functional stove, warms the interior in winter and soothes with the pleasant sound of burning wood also on rainy and colder days.
